Adult learners’ perceptions of distance education

Research informing adult education teachers’ didactic practices in distance is scarce. Approaching the learner’s perspectives on how perceived key to future initiatives. This study explores learners’ perception of education, concentrating aspects such as, social presence, course structure, and learning satisfaction. A survey was distributed teachers ( n = 78) five schools organising education. Findings show that teacher accessibility structure correlated positively with presence Overall, learners are satisfied their teaching. challenge facing create a sense despite high demand for flexibility. Thus, we explored learner perceptions benefits challenges structured these into social, cognitive, spatio-temporal, emotional, technical dimensions. reveal one dimension lack connection peers, benefit cognitive referred autonomy self-regulation. These findings important as educational institutions policymakers may strive flexibility, which turn lead lower group cohesion presence.
